Steel Conical Rings
The conical ring with its distinctive inclined inside traveller bearing surface, is a design which gives excellent ring / traveller contact, and also allows the traveller to move freely up and down the bearing to compensate for variations in yarn tension. This also means that the friction between the traveller and the bottom of the ring is kept low. The resulting ring and traveller combination gives excellent speed, regularity of yarn tension and processing efficiency, especially where weak or fine yarns are being spun. This type of ring is particularly suitable for processing wool, worsted and semi worsted material. It is also widely used for the production of chenille and other fancy yarns.
